Presenter Lowdown - Niall Moloney
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away… a man and woman kissed — and Niall was born. The world changed forever.
Fast forward about ten years, and he discovered this magical thing called radio — and immediately wanted in. His journey started on Hospital Radio, before moving into local radio, where he’s worked for… well, about 37 stations (give or take a few). He’s only been fired from three — which, honestly, is a decent record.
At one point, someone told him he “sounded too young” — which he took as a compliment, not a career critique. He just never wanted to sound like all the other boring presenters.
Eventually, he found his way to Hot Radio, where he’s now presented pretty much every show on the schedule — except overnights (and he’s hoping to keep it that way!).
Niall loves being on air, talking about the stuff you can actually relate to — usually nonsense, occasionally insightful, but always guaranteed to make you smile. Tune in Sunday mornings from 10am and judge for yourself.

He’s got stories, sarcasm, and surprisingly strong opinions on Sk8r Boi — here are Niall’s quickfire picks:
First album you bought?
👉 Pretty sure it was a “Now That’s What I Call Music!” album. Absolute classics — and a rite of passage for every future radio presenter.
Best gig you’ve ever been to?
👉 Chase & Status at The BIC. Loud, chaotic, and absolutely unreal.
Favourite artist of all time?
👉 Calvin Harris. He makes bangers, he’s hilarious, and he’s loaded — living the dream, really.
Song you can’t resist singing along to?
👉 Avril Lavigne – Sk8r Boi. Mainly because I’ve only just figured out all the words… don’t judge.
Favourite place in BCP?
👉 The beach with my dog, Sheldon. Sand, sea, and one very unimpressed dog — the perfect combo.

My happy place: beach breeze, great tunes, and my dog Sheldon wondering why I’m talking to myself again (it’s radio prep, honest).
