Casting Call: Lookalikes Wanted for £50m Bournemouth Film Project
A Bournemouth filmmaker is searching for lookalikes of the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and a range of world leaders for a forthcoming £50 million movie.
Bournemouth-based filmmaker and author Mattika Westgate (also known as Mattika Silk) is inviting members of the public to step forward if they resemble major political figures, as part of her ambitious film series The World Mission.
Who they’re looking for
Mattika says she already has a local person in mind for the role of the British Prime Minister, but is currently looking for actors to portray leaders from the following countries:
- Germany
- France
- Italy
- Japan
- South Africa
- Canada
- South Korea
- Greece
- Mexico
- Vietnam
The casting call aims to find convincing lookalikes of high-profile leaders to appear in the big-budget sci-fi thriller.
About the filmmaker
Mattika has been based in Bournemouth for around two decades and has transformed her life from running a local salon to pursuing high-profile, global creative projects. Her latest plans for 2026 include:
- A £50 million international film franchise
- A Guinness World Record attempt featuring a global motivation album with 100+ contributors
- A major biography of a secretive WWII British weapons inventor whose legacy changed the course of British history
Mattika added: “I want to show the world that the South Coast is more than a destination — it’s a launchpad for international innovation and storytelling.”
