About our sponsors: The Italian Bakery

The Bun Run is proudly powered by The Italian Bakery — a Dorset favourite known for the smell of freshly baked bread and an incredible range of sweet and savoury bakes.

From their site: their bakers, cake makers and pastry chefs work overnight to create an array of patisserie — from artisan breads and savouries to cakes, biscuits and desserts, including Italian favourites like flavoured sourdoughs, focaccias and Sicilian lemon tarts.

FAQ

What is The Bun Run?

The Bun Run is Hot Radio’s weekly workplace surprise. You nominate your workplace, and we could turn up with the Hot Truck and a box of tasty treats from The Italian Bakery.

How do I enter?

Fill in the nomination webform on this page with your workplace details and why your team deserves a Bun Run delivery.

Who can be nominated?

Any workplace in our broadcast area (Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and surrounding areas). You can nominate your own workplace, a colleague’s workplace, or a team you think deserves a lift.

How is the winning workplace chosen?

We pick a workplace from the nominations based on the story, local connection, and practical delivery access. (And yes — we love a great “why we deserve it”.)

When does The Bun Run happen?

The Bun Run happens weekly. We’ll contact the winning workplace to confirm the essentials, then we’ll aim to keep the delivery a surprise.

Will you tell us before you arrive?

We’ll confirm key details with a workplace contact, but the whole point is that the delivery itself is a surprise.

What will you bring?

A selection of bakes provided by The Italian Bakery. The exact mix can vary week to week.

What about allergies or dietary requirements?

There’s a section on the form for allergy/dietary info. Please share anything important so we can plan safely.

Do we need to be happy to be on the radio / social media?

Yes. By entering, you confirm your workplace is happy to be mentioned on air and may be filmed/photographed for Hot Radio’s social channels.

What information do you need from us?

Workplace name and location, a contact name/number, access notes (parking/reception), best time to visit, and your reason for nominating.

Can we nominate more than once?

Yes — but please keep it genuine (and don’t spam it). A great nomination beats ten rushed ones.

Is The Italian Bakery part of the delivery?

The treats are provided by The Italian Bakery. The delivery is made by the Hot Radio team (with Sami K out on the road).

Where is The Italian Bakery based?

They currently have locations in Wareham and Swanage, with a new location launching soon.
