Brew'd in BCP
Local music, local stories, local pride
A brand-new specialist show on Hot Radio, shining a spotlight on the incredible talent right here in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
Are you a local artist or band?
Submit your track and you could be featured on-air on Tuesdays, 19:00–21:00 — alongside chart favourites like Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran in our playlist.
What is Brew’d in BCP?
Brew’d in BCP is Hot Radio’s weekly showcase for the best local artists across the BCP area — plus the people and projects making our community what it is.
Each week you’ll hear:
- Fresh local music from emerging and established artists in the area
- Guest interviews with artists, organisers, and community voices
- Local initiatives and events worth knowing about (and getting involved in)
If it’s happening in BCP, we want it on the show.
Why submit your music?
Getting played on the radio still means something — and we want to make it accessible for local talent.
When you submit, you’re putting your music in front of:
- A real local audience (not just an algorithm)
- Listeners who love discovering new music and supporting local
- A station that’s building something rooted in the community
And yes — your track could sit in a show playlist that also features major names. That’s the point: local artists deserve that same “this belongs on radio” moment.
Who we’re looking for
We’re inviting submissions from artists based in (or strongly connected to) Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, including surrounding areas.
We welcome:
- Solo artists, bands, producers, singer-songwriters, DJs
- Any genre (as long as it’s suitable for broadcast)
- New releases or standout tracks from your catalogue
If you’re not sure whether your track fits, send it anyway — we’ll take a listen.
Broadcast quality matters (and we’ll help set the standard)
Because this is broadcast radio, we do have a quality control process. That’s not about gatekeeping — it’s about making sure your track sounds great on air and represents you properly.
Before we can schedule a track, we’ll check:
- Audio clarity (no distortion, clipping, or major background noise)
- Consistent levels (not too quiet, not overly compressed)
- Overall production quality suitable for radio broadcast
If a track isn’t quite there yet, we’ll let you know. In some cases, a small tweak or a re-export is all that’s needed.
How to submit your track
- Complete our submission form
- Upload your audio file
- Add a few details about you and the track (so we can introduce it properly on-air)
Tip: If you’ve got press photos, socials, or a short bio — include them. It helps us tell your story on the show.
What happens next?
- We review submissions in the order they come in
- If your track is selected, we’ll be in touch with next steps
- If it’s a great fit, we’ll schedule it for an upcoming Tuesday show
Because we expect a lot of interest, we can’t guarantee airtime for every submission — but we can guarantee every track will be listened to.
FAQs
Do I need to be signed or have a label?
No — independent artists are absolutely welcome.
What file type should I upload?
Use the format requested in the form. If you have a high-quality WAV, that’s usually ideal.
Can I submit more than one track?
Yes — but we recommend starting with your strongest track first.
Will you play explicit lyrics?
To keep the show suitable for broadcast, clean/radio edits are preferred.
